OH my GOODNESS! I love these paintings, of the octopi! Wait, so you actually have these as pets? haha, maybe I am not understanding!
As far as technique, I just love the almost sandy, gritty, texture of the water, much like a murky, salty ocean, which is where these little guys might live. The dark, sprinkled with little textures of light, and sand. I don't know how I should describe it, let's just call it beautiful and leave it at that!
These pieces are a well accepted surprise in your gallery, and those colors just speak to me. Where did you learn to use color so beautifully? I know color takes a lot of practice to master, or even understand to a lesser degree. It always seems to be outstanding in your work, and I have long thought it was one of your strengths as an artist.
Thanx! Yes they actually make really excellent pets. But we don't keep them long. We go to the beach, collect a little one in a big bucket of sea water, some sand, shells and food. Then he visits in our fish tank for a while, so we can watch him. Then we take him home again. We have done that about 4 times. It's really fun and each one has their own personality. And thanx, colour for me is very intuitive and i tend to be over the top sometimes but I love it. And can you believe I was a goth all in black as a teen, ha,ha.
Hi. I mixed dishliquid with posterpaint and water and then you blow bubbles into it with a straw, them you can either lay your paper on the bubbles or spoon the bubbles on the canvas and let them dry. It's really fun
I'm sure it will, i think inks work aswell , just experiment with the mix first using just a little. I wasted allot trying to get the ratio of soap, water and paint right. Please show me and let me know if it was fun for you too.
