As far as technique, I just love the almost sandy, gritty, texture of the water, much like a murky, salty ocean, which is where these little guys might live. The dark, sprinkled with little textures of light, and sand. I don't know how I should describe it, let's just call it beautiful and leave it at that!
These pieces are a well accepted surprise in your gallery, and those colors just speak to me. Where did you learn to use color so beautifully? I know color takes a lot of practice to master, or even understand to a lesser degree. It always seems to be outstanding in your work, and I have long thought it was one of your strengths as an artist.
And thanx, colour for me is very intuitive and i tend to be over the top sometimes but I love it. And can you believe I was a goth all in black as a teen, ha,ha.
