I love this one. The title also perfectly brings across the meaning and the love transpiring from the canvas. What a wonderfull present

Sam it looks fantastic! I believe you were talking about this painting elsewhere! (I think a couple times) =D

I can't imagine why anyone would not like this as a gift, I mean, that is a giant 'labor' of love, literally and figuratively, in regards to both the size of the canvas and of course the subject at hand! (haha, I think I made more references than I can count in that comment)

Gosh, I get sidetracked way too easily lol. The best part here is the color and texture. There is almost, a bubbly gritty texture, in the background, that is also weaved into the skin tones, although more subtle. And of course, that lighting on the rim of the figure, creates a silhouette of focus around this ladies lovely figure, with such brilliance!

Thank you!:D sorry I made reference to it a few times, it's been a bit of a struggle and it didn't end quite as I wanted, I had such high hopes for it. :-) the gritty texture is due to my bad photo, I took many photos all over the house but it was never right. My friend has a studio so he said he would take one for me at a later stage, then Ican update. The paintings texture is silky smooth with fine layers and lots of oil shimmer. The background is a lace imprint.
I really appreciate your comments:hug:

He,he. Yes and no:-) I love it for the things that worked and I am disappointed about the things that didn't . I guess expectations play a role. I'm very happy with the work I do for myself, because I have fun and don't expect anything except the pleasure. When I do something for someone else the expectations for the work tend to create a bit of stiffness Im not happy with. But as usual I have mixed feelings about a piece just after I finish, I will have better perspective in a few weeks:D

I know whatyou mean!I would rather just do my own things...then if someone likes to buy them...good!!..The ones that I've been asked to do I don't sleep...or eat and then I don't believe them when they say they like it:D.....Even worse is when my friends ask for something that they are giving to someone else as a present!Yeeks:icongivingupplz::D

Hope you feel happier a little later on!

Thank you my friend:hug: My next two paintings are looking good, I'm very happy with them. Especially the one of my families hands. I think it's a favourite for the year so far. Looking forward to putting the final touches.:happybounce:
